I made the cut to featherweight and weighed in at 65.3kg.
My opponent was Dean Janches from Muay Thai MMA Boys, a club known for their strong stand-up game.
One of my early punches cut Dean's lip open and he landed a few good jabs and a hook to my temple followed by a driving knee to my solar plexus. After protecting and coming back with hard and fast straight punches I got a good take down and landed in side control.
On the ground I kneed Dean in the ribs and kept controlling him while I positioned myself for a Von Flue choke.I won by Von Flue choke 1:26 into round one.
